Hello and welcome!
Glad you made it to the third lesson!
This is a very simple and short lesson in which we will learn to connect the two sentences that we learned in the previous two lessons using “and” and “or”.
“and” in Hindi is “aur/और” and “or” in Hindi is “ya/या”.
You must know that there are other Hindi words for “and” and “or”, but I’ve mentioned the ones that are used in colloquial Hindi.
Examples:
I am not Ravi and I am not a singer
मैं रवि नहीं हूँ और मैं गायक नहीं हूँ – main ravi naheen hoon aur main gaayak naheen hoon
I am from a village and I am not from Dubai
मैं गाँव से हूँ और मैं दुबई से नहीं हूँ – main gaanv se hoon aur main dubai se naheen hoon
I am a doctor or I am a teacher
मैं एक डॉक्टर हूँ या मैं एक शिक्षक हूँ – main ek doktar hoon ya main ek shikshak hoon
Now go ahead, use the sentences from the first two lessons and connect them using “and” and “or” and type in the comment box below. Be creative and try to frame sentences on your own.
